FOGO NA ROUPA
SF Carnaval Champions Multiple Times
Music, Drummers and Dancers!
The energy this group brings encompasses what we at BWax think is the best groove around and a phenomenal adaptation of the Samba Bateria for the stage, mixing the primal batucada with a variety of guests who bring a harmonic equilibrium that leaves no booty unshaken. If you have never witnessed this Bay Area Institution founded by the late Carlos Aceituno, you are in for a on a rollercoaster ride of rhythm and visual beauty!

MONDO LOKO
Blazing Samba Funk
A 10-piece funk juggernaut paying homage to the sweet Brazilian Funk sound of the 70′s. These guys are real pros and roll with a 4-piece horn section. According to BWax they are automatically cool because of this, as well as unflappable and cool. Come have a cocktail and check out these newcomers, they’ll leave you wanting more!

BWax Residents DJ Carioca and DJ P-Shot, spinning the best of Brazilian Music, mixing up the genres and getting people moving on the dancefloor. Their adoring fans love it when they spin their unmatched Forró Set.

Call it what you will….

Forró Brazuca - BRAZA! Live Music Series
Forró Brazuca plays the sensuous upbeat sounds of Northeastern Brazil like no other band on the West Coast.

VIDEO: http://tlnt.at/forro-brazuca

Inspired by the tradition of Luiz Gonzaga, Jackson do Pandeiro, and Trio Nordestino, these four San Francisco-based Brazilians—each from a different region of Brazil— have been bringing the rootsy, accordion-powered dance music (similar to zydeco and Cajun music) to the Bay Area since 2007.

BRAZA! invites them to take the stage at SOM. for the first time on Feb. 3rd at 22:00 to 1am.

Vem-Q-Tem! (Come and Get It!) is a rotating cast of musicians infused with tropical tendencies ranging from samba and MPB to reggae and forró. Their monthly parties at Revolution Cafe always draw a fun crowd eager to dance and sing along.

We hope that you enjoyed the sounds of the all-female group that we put together for our past party. The ladies put on a great performance and were well received by the audience.

Our next party will pay tribute to MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and we will perform music from some of the greatest MPB artists such as Djavan, Jorge BenJor, Seu Jorge, Joao Bosco, Chico Buarque de Holanda, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and many others.
